Amy Winehouse Surreal Dream Hallucination Beehive

(c) VH McKenzie

CO9Cloud wanted to pay their own small tribute to the legend Amy Winehouse. Out of the many wonderful paintings we found of her, none captured our attention as much as this art collage, "Amy Winehouse Surreal Dream Hallucination Beehive" by the talented 'night' artist (he has a day job too!) VH McKenzie. Maybe its something to do with Negril...

Budak by Erdem Selek

A novel way to dry your dishes!

Designed in 2007 by Erdem Selek the Budak is a novel way to dry dishes and water your plants at the same time. Whilst we are not convinced this particular design is the answer, we do like the concept of recycling your dish water to water your plants. Let us know of any other designs out there that involve recycling water.

Batman Chair

We've been away for a while so thought we'd kick start our new posts with an oldie but a goodie...

You've all probably gathered by now that we love all things comic book inspired and this chair is no exception.

The Batman Chair was designed in 1989 by New York artist and designer Alex Locadia.

When interviewed by the New York Times back in 1992, Locadia disclosed that "his approach to form in furniture design was based on his lifelong fascination with science fiction and his appreciation for the primal side of nature, the dark side". He sounds right up our street!

Walking stick inspiration! We need your help!

One of the girls here at CO9Cloud is about have her 4th of a total of 5 operations on her knee (running is bad for you folks!) so has had to use a walking stick quite a bit! She has noticed that when you walk with a stick people tend to look at you more, so she has decided she needs a statement cane / walking stick to set off every outfit (not sure she can top the one above though!)... and here's where you come in:-

We would love it if you'd all have a search of the web and send through (via twitter, facebook or email) your favourite walking stick designs. We will feature our top 5 in a blog post and will credit the find to you, with a link to your site or twitter name.

Really looking forward to seeing what you find!

Thanks!
