Lego Motorcycle by Nathan Sawaya

CO9Cloud are firm believers that adults enjoy Lego much more than kids! This classic 1969 motorcycle by brick artist Nathan Sawaya is way cooler than any little house we built as kids. Inspired by the film Easy Rider, it is called "Captain America", we think Nathan has created a work of art!

We're inspired to create a campervan out of Lego now, will keep you posted!

Art Trucks Project by City of Yonkers

A few years ago the City of Yonkers ran an art project entitled "Art Trucks" which sought to transform six Department of Public Works’ garbage trucks into mobile art galleries by covering the entire truck in artist-designed wraps.

Here's a couple of them, we particular like the "City of Metal" trucks by Bronx designer Joseph D'Alessandro.

Drawn to Stitch by Louise O'Hara

We recently discovered Louise's work through our wonderful twitter friends network. We love the detail in these nostalgic beach hut pieces! More of Louise's work can be found at DrawntoStitch.com

All images (c) Louise O'Hara

Louise O'Hara is a mixed media textile artist who specialises in combining collage, embrodiery, printing, photography, drawing, paper clay, machine and hand stitch to create her beautiful work. Louise is also a lecturer and has taught fine art and textiles for over a decade.

To see more of Louise's work please visit her site HERE. Louise can also be found on Twitter @drawntostitch

We enjoyed reading the ABOUT ME section of Louise's site, in particular Louise's interest in Wabi Sabi. In Louise's own words "Wabi Sabi has always been prevalent within my work; this is a Japanese aesthetic of ‘beauty in imperfection’. I record elements of trace from peeling paint on walls, weathered bill boards, through to natural decay and rust. I use layered surfaces, machine stitch, collage and paint to document and translate the tactile surfaces which I record initially though the medium of photography".
